The Studio Display XT greatly expands the features of the existing Timecode Display and PunchLight product lines. In addition to timecode, the Studio Display can show bars&beats, time, or samples. It also automatically indicates recording start/stop and record-ready/pre-roll/post-roll which is useful for musicians, singers, and other artists as well as dubbing and post-production studios. Compatible with Pro Tools, Nuendo, Logic Pro and most other audio applications.

The software update to version 2.5 allows custom messages to be sent to the Display. The message can be visualized on the display by pressing the "MSG" button on the Remote control at any time timecode, or any other type of information, is incoming. It has priority over other information. The message can also be shown automatically. It is written on your computer using the USD Midi Remote utility and you can paste it as SYSEX code to any midi track in your audio application. It is very useful for example as a count down at reroll before starting a recording.
